I’ve been binge watching TV shows all winter – it’s how I survive day after day of indoor bike trainer workouts. It’s all great until you finish a series. Then what?

Thanks to Empire Tri Club for allowing us to host this week's #EmpireChat on Twitter. In case you weren't able to tune in live, here's a transcript from the chat:

We decided to start the year very early this year with a destination race in Panama.  The race didn't go as well as I had hoped, but there was plenty to be happy about.  I'm not just saying that for a positive spin for the sake of my race report! I really mean it.
I wish I had better news than a DNF (Did Not Finish) from my race in Panama. My goal for this race, when I signed up for it a few months ago, was to finish in the top 8. Then I started training. And then winter took hold. And then my training wasn't progressing as quickly as I planned. I knew I asn't ready to race in a hot half ironman. I knew that any coach would say no effing way are you going to race right now. But I went and did the race anyway!

Don't hate me because I like Valentine's Day. I like the cards and I like conversation hearts. The rest of it: the going out, the stress about not having a Valentine or not knowing what to get your Valentine, I don't need.
