Brussels Sprouts with Apples, A Healthy Thanksgiving Side Dish

Brussels Sprouts with Apples, A Healthy Thanksgiving Side Dish

This is one of our favorite Thanksgiving side dishes. It’s healthy, tangy and low fat. You will be licking that apple cider maple glaze off your plate! It’s super easy to make and really tasty.

Pre-heat oven to 400F.

Cut the Brussels sprouts in halves or quarters. Slice apples in roughly the same size.

Put the Brussels sprouts in a roasting pan. Add olive oil and sea salt. Mix up to cover everything.

Add sliced apples.

Make the glaze: equal parts apple cider vinegar, maple syrup and dijon mustard. About 2 tablespoons each, depending on how many Brussels and apples you are baking.

Cooking time varies depending on what apple you use. A crisp apple, like a Fuji requires about 35 minutes. A softer apple could be done at about 20 minutes. Just take a peak at 20 and see where you are!

One note: you probably don’t need as much salt as Des dumped on in the video!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
