Athlete Food snack: Vega Cashewmilk Yogurt Alternative #dairyfree

Athlete Food snack: Vega Cashewmilk Yogurt Alternative #dairyfree

This post is sponsored by Vega, but the content and opinions expressed here are my own based on my truthful experience.

I’ve been a big fan of the Vega plant-based product line for years now. I like to snack on Vega protein bars when traveling to races and Vega vanilla protein powder is an essential part of my pre-race breakfast.

And now there’s a new Vega product about to launch nationwide that I’m happy to share with you: Vega Protein Cashewmilk Yogurt Alternative. I’m particularly excited about this product because I’m working on reducing dairy in my diet (as an experiment to see how it feels!) and have missed my daily yogurt fixes. This yogurt alternative is made of REAL ingredients and has the highest protein of plant based yogurts with 13 grams and only 7 grams of sugar.  On top of that it’s a good source of magnesium, zinc and iron and contains prebiotics AND probiotics. All of these things make it the perfect snack for getting in protein and nutrients in that critical 30 minutes after a workout.

Today my workout was a tough session on the track with 10 x400 meters.  I wanted to make sure I ate right away after doing such an intense workout, so I actually brought the yogurt to the track and ate it right there!  Most days I will probably eat it as a snack at home. There are four flavors available: vanilla, strawberry, raspberry and blueberry. I have sampled all of them and they taste great. So far, my favorite is the vanilla. It feels like a dessert!

The Vega Protein Cashewmilk Yogurt Alternative will be launching nationwide very soon, so look out for it at your grocery stores! If you want it now, you can find it at Whole Foods, Sprouts, and Meijer.  Check out this link for more details: https://ooh.li/64d2f90

Let me know if you have any questions, or if you try it!
