#meatlessmonday Grains & Greens bowl. Kale, roasted sweet potatoes & red onions, rice, lentils, Greek yogurt vinaigrette with tarragon, and our very own, homegrown hot pepper. Cold dinner for a hot night.
How to dessert. Today Amy wanted to bake so we made a strawberry upside down cake and piled on all the fresh berries, whipped cream, and mint. We used a cupcake recipe Amy found @delish, used half of the batter to make cupcakes and the rest for this.

Traverse City 70.3 Gallery and Race Report

We had a great time visiting “Up North” Michigan. Bec and I drove via Cleveland on the way there and through Canada on the way back. We stayed with a family right by the lake. The race started with a gorgeous sunrise swim in Lake Michigan, followed by a rolling, and I mean roller coaster up and downs, bike ride and a run packed with spectators. The race was great and I recommend it. The downsides: a lot of traffic in the town and parking for the event was not explained well. Otherwise, all good things to say! Here are some photos from the race.
