This is a sneak peek at part of our holiday card and also what Amy Frances looks like now that she's 11 months. She is at the stage where she stands on her own, until she realizes she is standing, and then she plops down. We think she's on the verge of walking, but we've been saying that for a few weeks, so who knows! Other than that, she has a few tricks like making a funny face, pointing to things, and best of all, hugging on demand. Seriously. I'm not sure where she picked it up, certainly not from me (worst hugger ever), but it is the cutest thing in the world.

So many people complain about how indoor bike training is SO BORING. We disagree. Ok, so riding in place, in your bedroom or basement, doesn't exactly compare to whizzing up and down mountains, but it doesn't have to be something to dread. And it just might make you a stronger cyclist.

My go to training food when I'm in mid-season intense training is a peanut butter and honey slathered rice cake, inhaled, in seconds, over the kitchen sick. But on these cold December off-season training days, I feel like I deserve a little variety and more substance.

When it comes to baking gluten-free cookies, I tend to stick to mixes. I figure, if someone has taken the time to figure out a mix of ingredients that make gluten-free cookies taste like the real thing, just go with it. I came to this conclusion after spending the time and energy to make gluten-free cookies from scratch.
