Laurel's Post-Workout Sugar Fixes

You just finished that half marathon or just got your butt kicked in a kickboxing class. Or, maybe you even survived an Ironman in 40 degree weather (yep, I'm still splurging from that one). 

You deserve a treat! 

I love to eat healthy meals and maintain a nutrient dense diet, but I also believe part of that is a healthy dose of rewards. It all started with Montgomery Donuts after Friday morning swimmer swim practices at Whetstone Pool. And it's continued with loaded Chloe's soft serve fruit after an ocean swim. A chocolate chip scone from Locanda Verde after a morning ride in Central Park. Moxie Cupcakes after a run in the Mohonk Preserve. Nutella filled cronuts, full fat lattes, Levain bakery cookies. They've all found there way into my diet this summer. 

So I say, go ahead, live a little! Just not everyday.
