A Healthy Way to Snack Between Workouts: Shine Organics
As Bec mentioned in her post yesterday, one of the things I focused on during my lead-up to Ironman Taiwan was nutrition. An area I really needed to improve on was refueling after workouts. I have the tendency to let my workouts slide into some other activity like a dog walk or shopping or playing with Des. For a triathlete with another workout looming on the day's horizon, missing a refueling opportunity doesn't always lead to maximum performance.
So Bec and I set out to come up with some nutritious snacks that I could grab on the go on these really busy days. We settled on our Athlete Food Iron Cookies along with a Shine Organics pouch. These are pouches for adults that are packed with fruits and vegetables, chia seeds, and nutritious super foods. And my favorite flavor has turmeric too (need all the recovery help I can get!). I also love the convenience of packing an on-the-go snack in my swim bag without it getting smushed!
