Almond Butter Hot Chocolate

"It's good. Really, really good." -Laurel after she was halfway through a mug of this creamy vegan hot chocolate.

Almond Butter Hot Chocolate

1 packet of flavanaturals drinking chocolate mix

1 tablespoon almond butter

1 tablespoon maple syrup (this can be more or less depending on your sweet tooth)

8-10 oz. almond milk 

sprinkle of pumpkin spice or cinnamon

optional: toasted marshmallows

Combine flavanaturals chocolate powder, almond butter, maple syrup, and almond milk in a blender.

If you have a Vitamix or similar high-speed blender, you can set it to the soup setting and let it go or you can let it run for about 5 minutes. When you pour it out of the blender it will be perfect drinking temperature. 

If you are using a normal blender, process for about 30 seconds or until all the ingredients are incorporated. Pour into a microwave safe mug and heat. 

Top with a sprinkle of pumpkin spice or cinnamon and, if you'd like, a marshmallow toasted on the stovetop.
