Friday Finds: a vintage pickle slicer, the original Power Bowl, Amy's YouTube Channel

Friday Finds: a vintage pickle slicer, the original Power Bowl, Amy's YouTube Channel

We spent the last weekend of our triathlon off-season taking cooking classes and checking out some local antique shops. Those are things we never have time do as we are either training or racing on the weekends.  One of my favorite things to do is troll through thrift stores for interesting vintage finds - it runs in the family!  We also helped Amy set up her YouTube Channel.  She loves to cook and, hey, it's a way to get her stop consuming screens and to create. Here are my Friday treasures:

Vintage Pickle Slicer

Crinkle Cut!! Has anyone ever seen one of these? We couldn't resist this kitchen gadget when we came across it at an antique store. It still works perfectly, btw.

If you haven't seen our post from Monday about this cooking school and spice shop in the Hudson Valley, check it out now.

Wheaties Cereal Bowl

Breakfast inspiration dating bak to the 1930's! We found this vintage Wheaties bowl at the New Paltz Antique Barn. It features the star athletes of the time, including 2 women.
